Is this dress true to size?

Yes. It is cut for a close bodycon fit, especially across the bust because of the bandeau neckline. The ruching gives a little more forgiveness through the midsection than a flat-cut mini dress, but it is still designed to sit snug.

Does the side ruching change the length?

Yes. The drawstring gathering on one side creates a slightly asymmetric hem, so the dress looks more shaped and a touch shorter at that side than a straight-across mini.

Is the light cream fabric see-through?

The floral print helps break up the pale base, but this is still a light-coloured fitted dress. Neutral seamless underwear will give the cleanest finish.
